Signal's involvement with Culture Night this year was a huge success,
with over 500 people taking part.
It seems each year we become stronger, and from the turn out we can see it is also important for the community. The event 'Hands Across Bray was an interactive community arts project.
Prior to culture night, castingswere made of hands from different schools and comunity groups from Bray and Beyond
We were based in the old central garage on the main street and on culture Night we invited the public in to continue with the castings, which became part of the installation pieces within the space.
We had old and young taking part, the youngest being 1 and the oledest being 95.
We even had a dog and a man with a spooky sixth finger
This event was so popular we had artists working non stop from 1pm to 9pm,it was hard to keep up with demand!
Overall it was very much a community and family event with whole familes coming and having castings done. Thanks to everyone that supported us and lent a hand for one night at least, they made their mark...
