I was born in the tropics with the rich colours, scents and aromas that abound in heavy fruiting and flowering foliage heaving with myriad flora and fauna in heated wet throbbing atmospheres.
The sounds of pounding seas tempestuous and gentle skies linger in distant memories amid fascinations of reptilian neighbours, fragile beauties of brilliant butterflies and winged friends that dazzle and bewilder through sight, movement and sound.
My genetic pool spans knowledge…. from the mountainous regions of the Himalayas…. to the enticing and mystical north and south of India with heavy overlays of western cultures of my education and current existence.
I taught myself to draw to avoid the critical eye of my teacher as a child and to achieve sanctuary. I enjoyed the escape this media of Art provided me in later years from a mediocre ritualistic normal existence.
I present no specific images or themes…. just what comes through the exploration of mind through form…. I am a child of the Universe as you are… and am limited through perception and matter… to explore eternity… I invite you on my limited journeys of expression.
