Signal Arts presents a series of oil paintings by Aideen Griffin.

This will be Aideen's debut solo exhibition, and interpretation of local nature scenes best described by the artist: 'Trees show me their inner radiance… displaying greens, lemon, yellow and ochre… seascapes lay clean lines between rocks of gleaming wet colour…' Aideen has always been inspired by the Wicklow countryside she grew up in and prefers to paint outdoors in wide open spaces where she can capture fleeting moments of nature; vibrant, alive and ever changing. She takes her impressions home and brings her vision to life in her attic studio while also being mother to two young children.

Aideen was a student of Fine Art at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art and Design and went on to NCAD to study print before completing a course in Art, Ceramics, Craft and Design at Bray Institute of Further Education. She taught oil painting to adults at St. Killian's Community School and worked with children teaching arts, crafts and design at St. Killian's and at the Woodland Academy in Bray. She has exhibited locally over the years causing enough interest to encourage her to put together this collection of oil paintings.

Opening Reception: Friday 15th September 7-9pm
