An email from Sian Shepherd (Programming and Scheduling Dept TV3 & 3e)

"Hi there,

"Hearing Silence" aired last night, congratulations again Hillary, My colleague’s spoke very highly of the quality of the film. I just wanted to send you on the viewer figure details.

It performed well for a digital channel so this is an achievement to be proud of."

The broadcast of the short film last night at 2300-2310 was watched by an average of 26,300 people.

It took a 2.97% share of viewing amongst Adults 15-34. As a channel 3e's average share amongst Adults 15-34 in peak time is 2.47%, so the short film exceeded this average comfortably.

For a programme broadcast at 2300 on 3e these viewing figures would be considered very good.

The prizes for the top three films are:

  • 1st Prize: The winning film shown on 3e, €300 Film Base Voucher & Cine Electric Voucher.
  • 2nd Prize: Runner Up will recieve a € 200 Film Base Voucher & a Cine Electric Voucher.
  • 3rd Prize: Third place will recieve a €100 Film Base Voucher.
